Week 10 EOC: what channels you going to use to advertisement

This advertisement has made me more excited, then any other advertisement[bb1]  campaign. This is something I think everyone has not thought of, let alone I think only a girl would have thought of this. My billboard is going to be of a girl working hard in her truck, something that symbols that trucks are not just mint for men. I think these need to be advertised in any area of which women are around. I think if they even did a movie that would show hard working farm girls driving around trucks. Good way for women seeing the message, also making little girls looking up to something. I think it would be also something you would see at rodeos, where trucks are something that is used every day that every country folk would be using. Trucks were never mint to be in the city, which does not mean you could not advertise it there, I think it would bring the country back around the world. I see that most girls would look at is, empowerment. Which I think that it will show empowered business women to even the empowered tough farm girl can drive a truck. The truck symbols power to me, which I think showing powerful women that anyone can drive a truck not just men. I want to establish that not just as a sexual thing, I want to show the power behind the truck. I want to advertise this on pt., just for the fact if anyone that’s like me changes the channel when a commercial comes on. I want to advertise this in magazines, billboards, rodeos, and even carwashes. I think anywhere you will find a truck at I want to have something advertised. Baseball to football games, and everything else in between. I look at it that the people going to these events would be more evolved with trucks.

Week 9 EOC:

For a president that has not look into our constitution, or even follow the rules. Obama has said time and time again how we need to get another Republican, to replace the last one that passed away. The only problem is that anyone that joined the nomination during the election will get rejected. So for Obama to be pushing everyone to get another republican in there would not help. Everyone knows this, the republicans, democrats, the white house, and even the public. Which means that Obama is only doing this to just get someone in there, not someone that deserves the position and knows what they are doing. I look at this and think its way to crazy with the lection going on, I understand where it’s not going to be fair since both sides are not even now. I do also look at this as something that could be getting out of hand as well. Obama is just taking short cuts, and once again not following the rules. They say Jeb Bush is a candid that is on the path to winning the republican candidate. Which they say they have to look at the other candidates, which I think sounds like false advertisement. I think they should not be able to tell someone that they are on the winning path, then say but we got to look at the other candidates. Its either you tell them all at once. Or don’t waist anyone else’s time, let alone giving everyone false hope that they could have won. I also see it as that maybe there is someone that could do a better job, that they should do an election right and make it fair.

Analysis of Project in the Real World

Hard working women that are helping on a farm, ranch, or anything that requires hauling and getting dirty should be able to have a truck to do it in. Think of the business that truck companies would get, showing that a truck can be for everyone and everything. Trucks are not just a toy, you can use them as work. Many women use a truck to haul things around in the bed, or even pull trailer behind when they have a big load. This whole advertisement that I have come up with, is to bring out the fact that girls can have a truck as a toy or even something to work with. These companies have kept the commercial towards boys, which is when I came up with the idea why not advertise to the girls? Bringing in more business, and making it a need instead of just a want. A truck could help in many areas, and a hard working women is one person that could use one. Showing that the back of the bed can haul all the messy things you would not want in the cab, and how it can pull heavy trailers up any hill. Trucks are used for more things than many realize, bring out all the positive things instead of just showing it as a toy. Show things that could also help a women, show how a women would need one. You could see the sales going up, more likely women would be buying them too. I want to show that a truck can be a toy and also be used to work. I just want to show a truck from many angles, getting more than just one type of person in there.

Creative Content

My idea with this was that boys are not the only person that uses trucks, girls do to. Weather it’s their daily rides, or work trucks. Girls use trucks for the same thing boys do, they just don’t advertise it. I kept thinking off all of the ads, commercials, and bill boards about trucks. They all revolve around how a boy could use a truck, not once what a women could actually use a truck for. Hard working women find ways to improvise when they don’t have trucks, whether it’s throwing a bale of hay in the back of their trunk or if they just have to take a baby sheep in the back seat as well. This idea was to bring up girls, why can’t girls have a truck for a toy. We can use it to haul around our stuff, or even our daily vehicle. These advertisement sure have got the boys wanting one, but do they have the girls? I think advertising that hard working women need something to use. I look at it as if you don’t have something to get your stuff from point A to point B you barrow someone else’s stuff. Where a truck has everything you can to get you out of any situation, you can pull, haul, and even get you out a big mud mess. I think that trucks need to have an advertisement for women too, it would bring more sales and more people to come looking for it. My idea was “Toys are not just for Boys” which means trucks are not just for boys. I think if more women saw that it’s ok to have a truck for your job, and are able to understand that they could use them in many cases that it would be a good idea to buy one.

Promotion

I want to promote this where everyone would be able to see it, but also where my ad would help to. I think promote it on T.V. would help, I think that would get to everyone at a time. I also think the person that I’m campaign to wont always have time to watch T.V, so won’t be able to see it. I’m going after hard working women that needs a truck to finish off their tasks. You won’t be seeing many girls driving trucks in the city, there is just no need for them and too big to drive around. I think if you advertised in places where you would find hard working women at, rodeos, ball games, maybe even at some of their jobs too.  This will open up that women can have trucks, or need one. Many farmers are girls too, which need a truck to pull trailers to hauling things in the back of the bed. Florists use the back of the beds for caring flowers around to deliver. You need to advertise them where women would be, hard working women would need something like this to help them out. No more messy trunks in the back of their cars, they would have a bed that is easy to spray out. Bill boards would help, commercials, and even seeing it in magazines would help get the word out as well. Banners at all the events they would be found at, or even somewhere they shop a lot at too. Farmers markets would help advertisement in a small town, which is not going to do everything but help in that little town. It’s not going to get everyone around the world, like the bill boards and commercials on TV would.

The Big Idea

I see a truck as empowerment, something that’s so big that it makes you feel it too. Something that does not just help men, but also helps women too. Truck is used for many things, hauling trailers, having more space to be able to carry more things. Having a bed, which helps carry messy things that you would not want inside of your vehicle? Trucks have always came across as a manly thing, a toy. Something that could haul their dirt bikes, to pulling their trailers around. Something so powerful is not just a toy, but also used for work. I wanted to show the hard working women, of any kind of nature that it’s ok to have a truck. It’s not just a sign of country, but it is a sign of power. With a lifted up truck, with the turbo roaring every time you step on the pedal. I wanted to show that a truck is not just for boys, it can be for either gender at any age. When an advertisement for trucks come on, it shows stuff that boys would like. Hauling motorcycles around, to racing around their vehicle, to even showing how it flexes while climbing a mountain. The way I looked at it, that advertisements are used for only men. That fined excitement out of a vehicle that can do this stuff, they want something they can show off to the girls but able to get some mud on it. Every vehicle is looked at and judged by the type of person that would drive it. How B&W and Lincoln are more of the expensive cars that are classics that everyone looks at them as doctor cars. They are classy, but expensive so younger people would not be able to afford them.

Competitive analyses

Power strokes big competitors, which are in the same business. Duramax, Cummins, and more truck producers. Trying to accomplish the same thing Power stroke is trying to do, which is trying to sell trucks to everyone. Try getting the brand name out there, which is getting everyone to buy that one truck. Their advertisement has always been towards boys and grown men. They always wanted to give that thrilling, exciting, and fun vehicle that can make any girl fall for you. It’s a status of man hood, and every truck has a logo but they make it fit the man. Ford has always been built strong tough, what guy would not think that’s manly. The objective is to get a manly idea out, making the men want to buy a truck that is going to make them feel bigger, or even get more excited about what they drive. They needed something that can pull, loud, and that’s so high you got to jump to even get in it. That’s what every competitor of fords has brought out as well. What makes all of these models different? This is where I think, my opinion has come into play. I think that ford is the best truck out there, many people think different than me. I also think that’s why we get the racing each other in our trucks, and the slash talk on each others vehicles. It’s a way of showing your support, thinking your option about what you think is better. I would not be doing this truck if it was not my favorite, that’s also another reason why I only have ford vehicles as well. It’s a way to make you stand different from many other people, and also maybe even make you feel a part of something.

Ford (Slogan)

An advertising agency is a business that provides clients with creative, marketing, and other business services related to planning, creating, producing, and placing advertisementsFords slogan is built ford tough, giving it the objective that the truck is a one of a kind tough truck. I look at this slogan as something that would catch a guy’s attention. Something that is only trying to get the men to buy the item, which is why I decided to choose a total different one. One that goes away from the guys, something that speaks up for the girls. I wanted something that made the girls turn their head and make them want to buy the product as well. The slogan I came up with ”Toys aren’t just for Boys”, something that speaks up for the girls. When they advertise a truck it’s all about how a boy would look at it, instead of a girl looking at it. I think by taking something that only campaigns towards boys and turn it towards girls. I think it’s going to catch everyone’s attention, and make everyone want to buy one. An advertising campaign is a series of coordinated ads, based on an overarching strategy, connected by look and feel, voice, tone, style, imagery, and tagline, where each individual ad in the campaign can also stand on its own.

Week 7 : The pitch

Super Duty® Platinum

The vehicle I’ve picked, is a 2016 power stroke. The reason why I’ve picked a kind of truck is trucks are not for just boys. Ford is the type of truck that I believe can get you anywhere with a smooth ride. Trucks are something I’ve grown up with, and definitely something that I could never give up. I want to advertise that trucks are not only for boys, girls can just be as risky and exciting to have a truck as well. They also need to haul not only themselves but also things in the bed. I’m a farmer’s daughter, I’ve got hay to tools and many other things in the back of my vehicle. Trucks that are lifted up, and that you can hear the turbo from a mile away is something exciting for me. The idea for my little town is racing not only cars, but trucks. Trucks that are as big as they are wide, that are still able to go pretty fast. There is an excitement, just like boys girls get excited about the same things. I want to be that person that is unloading a motorcycle out of the back of my bed, and that is going to do something exciting. I want advertise that women can be do anything a boy can do, it also brings in the fact that guys think girls that can do what a guy can do is sexy. Sex sales, which bringing in women driving jacked up trucks bringing out fun toys like motorcycles will not only bring in more women into the business. It will also make more men in thinking it’s a chick magnet. Bringing the all-around effect that trucks are exciting, you’re so big that you can run someone over. It makes you feel like a bigger person, that you’re in power of the road.

Week 6: Lady Gaga & Grammy Awards

The performance behind Lady Gaga in the Grammy Awards is going to be one to remember. The technology behind it not only entertained everyone, but also helped advertise people. Not just did Lady Gaga sell herself, but also broadcast Intel. The technology behind it, is new and also the start of something big! Not only was it to broad cast, but it also was a celebration of the honorable man David Bowie. The whole performance came to life, literally the instruments were moving along on the stage. When Gaga asked the director of Intel if her piano could move along with her, his reply was why just the piano. Making all the instruments coming to life, the technology behind it will defiantly benefit Intel. The performance, was so big it made her even bigger. Who would not want to pay to watch that happen again? She took the energy of the song, and gave it more energy with the lights and computers. Also by doing the performance for Bowie, made her inspiring. Everyone seen a new side of Gaga, that her career was more than money. It’s something new to see a star bring out a normal feeling and express it the ways she did. The whole performance made a hit, it shows after all the hard work and dedication. Gaga not only sold herself, but also expressed herself. She’s not just a pop singer, but also a women that was inspired. The technology behind it as well was inspiring, and she would have not been able to do it without Intel. They have got the reputation that they can make anything happen, even make Gaga’s make up seem like skin and change throughout the performance.  Intel sold themselves, with all the amazing technology behind it. The world is changing, and technology is going to be seen everywhere even in performances.

EOC Week 5:Commercials of Super Bowl

There was not many commercials at the super bowl I thought were funny or entertaining. I felt like there was not many commercials for beer, or even car commercial like past years. I think Doritos has made a big impact on the commercials the past few years, they are so funny that they are remember able.  My favorite hands down was Doritos commercial this year. It showed a family that was expecting a baby that they were able to see with an ultrasound. It showed the baby was following the Doritos that the dad was moving around. Eventually the baby popped out of the moms belly, by far it’s not realistic. I like the idea that they came up with something different! It was funny, but still got the meaning over as well. Doritos also did something that many commercials don’t have, bringing in family feeling into as well. Made me think of stuff I do with my family, I think they got the point across. The fact that they brought the family part in, it made everyone else think of the food they share with each other. This year definitely was the best for the Dorito, where I did not see one Budweiser commercial showing their horses this year? I wonder if the prices got so high to do commercials that was it worth to play more than one. Or do one big one that was remember able? I think that our society is getting to the point, that we can’t Offord what we spent money on years ago.  It’s hard to figure new ways to broad cast your company for every super bowl, but I felt like that watching the commercials were hard for me. I would much rather just watch the game, which never happens everyone wants to just watch the super bowl commercials.

Week 2: EOC Red bull

The world’s largest energy drink, a business that makes almost 6 billion cans a year. Red bull, a company that’s also know for what they put in their drinks. Red bull is still able to make sales, even though they are known for using bull sperm in their products. The Red bull business was created in 1987. An Australian company was inspired by a drink in Thailand, modifying the ingredients and coming up with a name that was related to where they got it. Thai meaning red. They also changed the can from the tall, gold, and blue can to the now short, silver, and blue can. Changing one drink from Thailand, and making it big everywhere especially in the U.S. Red bull slogan is “Red bull gives you wings”, giving the understatement that it’s going to give you the energy, until the lawsuit for 13 million. Which Red bull lost. Red bull is targeting costumers that are young men, and active in extreme sports. Energy drinks are known for their energy, but also their health factors. Energy drinks are not only made with lots of sugar, but there is no facts saying there is any more sugar or caffeine that could actually affect you. The amount of sugar in red bull is 80 grams. A cup of coffee has the same amount of caffeine as a can of red bull.  Energy drinks are not supposed to be mixed with alcoholic beverages, which can make you intoxicated. Red bull was so well known, that France band it making it illegal to consume.  Red bull hit the U.S in 1997. Since then it’s exploded into a popular flavor to mix into drinks. They have also changed the flavor of the energy drinks by adding orange, blueberry, cranberry, tropic, and cherry into it.

Week 4:EOC Role of Women in Contemporary Advertisements

Picture

Women has always been advertised as cleaning, cooking, children-Bearn, sex machines. By showing advertisements of what an “average women” is, the role that has been with them for as long as they have been. Many commercials and advertisements use women as a sexism, which has created women as a sex icon. How do we stop the way of advertisement? There is no stopping, it continues to grow. Ads in 1950’s showed women controlled and influenced by husbands, giving the idea women are only supposed to be in the kitchen. Are men really better than women? This was the idea after these advertisements, 1800’s is when the women’s rights originated. By 1960-70 is when the wave was passed and more women became activist in the act. Dose these advertisements or commercials end, not even close. You still see in many products use women as a sex icon, not products like cleaners but also even beer. Now it makes it even harder for women to be able to get a job, or even keep one. Sexism is still big, many men or even boys think still think we can’t do it. By seeing this image over and over in commercials, billboards, movies, and television. It eventually becomes accepted and a norm, making it acceptable by not only men but also women. Why can’t women also pick up responsibilities and roles like men, some women even have to pick up both. Directors even have divided genders to tell a story, men are like dogs like women are like cats. We do this to tell a story, but these stories have changed our prospective about genders. Which makes us also do the same, dividing genders and roles.

  • Men and young boys, that want to become a baseball player.

  • 4. What is their point of view around this specific experience?

  • Real men chew, like the basesball players.

  • 5. What are their goals?

  • Startiing boys young to become like their dads and men that they look up to in life.

  • 6. What are their assumptions? What are their perceptions?

  • Getting more men to chew, and being able to get the younger age as well.

  • 7. Are there conflicts? Is there cooperation?

  • Yes, do baseball players really chew? Dose chew really help pro baseball players? I think that their will be, by showing that all men chew.

  • 8. What are the outcomes?

  • Men and young men will chew, and become so addicted that they can stay away from it.

    Week 1: EOC My Voice

“I don’t design clothes, I design dreams.” –Ralph Lauren

Fashion Designer is all I’ve wanted to become, it’s all I’ve wanted to be involved in. It’s been one of my biggest dreams to be a fashion designer on 5th Ave. in New York City.  By setting goals and pushing myself hard, I’ve made it one step closer to following my dreams. I attend the Art Institute in Las Vegas, NV and will be graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design. I’ve always experimented with new ways of wearing things, and was defiantly one to stand out from the crowd. Fashion is everywhere, style is something that’s unique to each individuals. I want to be that fashion designer that is able to let everyone’s style shine through. I’ve always wanted to be able to help change lives, by make someone feel better about themselves. I want to be able to create new styles, and offer them to people of all sizes. I want to help everyone find their nitch in fashion, and also find something that fits them and makes them look better. Since I got to experience New York when I was younger, my biggest dream was to see someone wearing something I made. I want to be involved with the runways, photoshoots, and all the people as well. Being more involved with everything, just makes me want to strive even more towards my dream. Coming from a little town called Richfield, the style is all the same. Trends don’t hit until months after they come out, and many trends are unsuccessful. Everything is the same in this little town. Being able to see different styles and ideas in fashion, is refreshing. Fashion is something that is not developed over night, it takes generations of finding  better designs. Being able to change up different garments and adding your personal style to it as well. The steps of getting my dream to become a reality are school, hard work, and dedication. School is going to teach me the stuff I need to conquer the rest of my steps. For instance  right now im Learning about ads, style trending, and basic sewing. This being my second quarter in I’ve learned everything from how a garments made, to tech packs, and even the history behind the trends and styles.  Fashion might just look like just a person’s idea, but it’s so much more. With the right color for that season, to how long the stitch should be. Fashion Designers are not just making a garment personally for them, but for everyone to enjoy it. I’m Bailee Baldwin, a fashion designer.

    Week 1: EOC Volkswagon Lemon

Volkswagen were built in Germany. Germany as know for high quality and high priced cars. So it is known to most that’s it is also home of the Volkswagen. The idea of this car was created by Hitler. He wanted a way of transportation that everyone could afford, however he still was demanding they preform fast enough to get people where speed was no limit.

Were 3,389 men working, doing the same thing every day. Inspecting a Volkswagen at every stage of it. They only made 3, 00 everyday, which meant they have more men working then production of cars. They inspect every inch of a car, from the breaks to the head of the motor. Their goal was to making this car very reliable, last a long time, and does not require a lot of maintenance. Which is where they got the saying for the ad “We pluck the lemon; you get the plums.”

In 1960 Volkswagen spread the word about a car that everyone would be able to afford. Everyone was shocked about the ad. It stood out amongst all other ads at that time. It came an acrossed with power, prestige, and delivered by a calming voice. This ad that was in black and white, was not like any other. The ad seemed to promote happiness which seemed to rub off on its viewers. The ad was introduced distributed amongst the United States. The ad was then distributed to New York City to Doyle Dane Bernbach. It took a year for them to have it publish, and distributed around the U.S. Volkswagen to this day is still known as a reliable and affordable car.
